2019 Pine Crest GeoBowl — North America

Congratulations to all students who have been named to teams! Now we start studying for the Competition on Friday, April 26th.

The MKPC PTA is once again sponsoring the Geo Bowl! This year, the students are tackling North America and Central America.  The goal of this program is to create enthusiasm for geography, while having fun and bolstering school spirit through a little friendly team competition. Help make this year's event a success! We have already seen some great results, with 28% of the student body returning completed packets and students performing fantastically on the team placement quiz given February 25th-March 1st!

In order to support the wonderful students who have completed packets and studied hard for the quiz, we need some enthusiastic volunteers to come and help coach students at lunch bunches. We need you! No geography knowledge is needed; we will provide everything that you need. Please sign up to volunteer using this link.

Lunch Bunch Team Practice Times:  11:45am-12:30pm (3rd Grade), 12:25-1:10pm  (4th Grade), 1:05-1:50pm (5th Grade)

  • Wednesday, March 13th
  • Wednesday, March 20th
  • Wednesday, March 27th
  • Wednesday, April 10th
  • Wednesday, April 24th

If you cannot make all 5 sessions, feel free to only sign up for those sessions you can attend.
